“Controversial Assertion: Mani Shankar Aiyar Urges India to Show Respect to Pakistan”

New Delhi: Mani Shankar Aiyar, a prominent member of the Congress party, has faced criticism for his recent statement suggesting that India should engage in dialogue with Pakistan to avoid potential consequences. Aiyar emphasized that Pakistan possesses nuclear weapons, which they could potentially use against India if provoked by our government’s actions.

Aiyar stated, “It is crucial to initiate talks with them. However, we seem to be relying solely on our military strength, which only escalates tensions. We must consider the fact that they possess atomic bombs. What if a ‘madman’ decides to launch an attack on us?”

He further added, “We also possess nuclear capabilities, but if a ‘madman’ were to target Lahore, it would take mere seconds for the radiation to reach Amritsar.”

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strongly criticized Aiyar’s remarks, claiming that they reflect the Congress party’s ideology towards India.

Union Minister Rajeev Chandrashekhar, sharing the video on X, commented, “These elections have clearly exposed Rahul’s Congress party’s ideology. Their support for and from Pakistan, including offering to relinquish Siachen, along with their divisive tactics, falsehoods, verbal abuse, and false promises to mislead the poor and vulnerable, are all evident.”
