“Congress’ Indore Lok Sabha Candidate Withdraws Nomination, Joins BJP: Akshay Kanti Bam’s Political Shift”

Congress’s candidate for Indore, Akshay Kanti Bamb, decided to withdraw his nomination for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This decision was made public when Madhya Pradesh Minister and BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya shared a photo of Bamb and extended a warm welcome to him in the party.

The Congress nominated Bamb to contest against the incumbent BJP MP Shankar Lalwani in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Indore on May 13.

In response to Bamb’s withdrawal, Congress leader Subhashini Sharad Yadav expressed, “This decision appears to be driven by fear. It is crucial for a robust democracy that all parties and individuals from diverse backgrounds actively participate.”

Yadav highlighted similar incidents in Surat and Indore, emphasizing that the party remains strong despite such challenges. She criticized the impact on democracy due to these actions.

Recently, BJD’s Soro MLA Parshuram Dhada rejoined the BJP ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha and assembly elections in Odisha, after resigning from the party a few weeks earlier.

Moreover, on April 27, a significant number of Sikhs, including members of the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee, joined the BJP.

During the event, BJP chief JP Nadda cited various initiatives undertaken by the government to support the minority community, asserting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has truly worked for their welfare.

The party announced that over 1,000 Sikhs have officially joined the BJP, reflecting growing support from the community.
