Citadel Honey Bunny trailer: The public is about to be treated to the domestic Indian version of the Russo Brothers’ spy action thriller series on Prime Video, following the release of the British and Italian installments. Citadel: Honey Bunny, which stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, is helmed by Raj & DK, who are most known for their iconic spy thriller series like Farzi and The Family Man.
How does the trailer look?
Citadel: Honey Bunny follows struggling actor Honey and stuntman Bunny as they get sucked into a world of intrigue, betrayal, and action. Hunny and Bunny battle alongside each other as well as against each other, with plenty of gunplay and stunts. A portion of the action takes place against the hit song Aaj Ki Raat from Farhan Akhtar’s massively successful crime drama Don from 2006. Additionally, the trailer features much of Raj & DK’s trademark humor.
The name of Honey’s daughter Nadia, which is also Priyanka Chopra’s name in the UK version of Citadel, which was published last year, is an Easter egg that can be seen in the trailer. Citadel: On November 7, Honey Bunny will make its Prime Video India debut.
Citadel’s earlier iterations
Last year, Citadel’s first installment, which takes place in the UK, debuted on Prime Video. Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden appeared in the lead characters of Citadel, which was co-created by Josh Appelbaum, Bryan Oh, and David Weil, directed by Newton Thomas Sigel and Jessica Yu, and produced by Russo Brothers’ AGBO, among others. In addition, Lesley Manville played the enemy, while Stanley Tucci played the head of the secret agency. In the show, Priyanka portrays Nadia, whose history will be covered in Citadel: Honey Bunny. A second season renewal has also been granted to Citadel.
Citadel: Diana, which is set in Milan in 2030, centers on Diana Cavalieri, a former agent of Citadel, an independent international secret organization. Diana is forced to go undercover as a mole when the agency is destroyed by the formidable enemy group known as Manticore. She had to put her faith on Edo Zani, the son of a powerful Manticore official, when she sees an opportunity to get away. On October 10, 2024, the six-episode series will make its global premiere on Prime Video. Executive producer and showrunner Gina Gardini is joined by Matilda De Angelis as Diana.
