Kulwinder Kaur, the CISF woman jawan who slapped Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh airport, has not been reinstated yet. She has been transferred from Chandigarh Airport to Bangalore, as per sources. Currently, Kulwinder Kaur remains suspended while an investigation is ongoing against her.

Sources have disclosed that following the incident involving Kangana Ranaut, CISF woman jawan Kulwinder Kaur was relocated to Bengaluru. Reports suggest that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was established to look into the matter, and it has already submitted its findings to the higher authorities. However, officials have refrained from making any statements on the issue. It has been revealed by sources that Kulwinder Kaur was suspended post the incident, but her reinstatement is still pending.

What is the whole matter

This incident took place on the 7th of June, 2024. Kangana Ranaut, Member of Parliament from Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh, was en route to Delhi when she was slapped by female security personnel Kulwinder Kaur at Chandigarh airport. Kulwinder Kaur’s actions were reportedly in response to Kangana Ranaut’s remarks regarding the farmers’ movement. Following the incident, Kangana faced mistreatment. Several videos related to the incident surfaced, although none captured the actual slapping incident.

The incident garnered significant media attention, prompting senior CISF officials to conduct an investigation at the airport. Subsequently, the female soldier involved was relieved of her duties. The accused, Kulwinder Kaur, hails from Kapurthala in Punjab, where her husband is also employed in the CISF. The farmers of Punjab showed their support for Kulwinder Kaur throughout the ordeal.
