Andhra Pradesh’s newly inaugurated Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, embarked on his inaugural visit to the Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala on Thursday. Following his swearing-in ceremony in Vijayawada, Naidu offered his prayers at the temple and expressed his determination to “purify” the administration of Tirupati-Tirumala.
During a press conference, Chief Minister Naidu accused the previous Jagan Mohan Reddy administration of engaging in irregularities within the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the governing body of the Venkateswara temple. The leader of the TDP party affirmed his commitment to eradicating corruption and safeguarding the principles of ‘Hindu Dharma’ in Tirumala.
“I will start the purification of governance from Tirumala. Only the chanting of Govinda’s name will remain in Tirumala,” he said.
Naidu has made a commitment to tirelessly strive towards creating a society free from poverty and to elevate Andhra Pradesh to the topmost position among all states in India. Additionally, he has issued a stern warning that crimes and corruption will not be tolerated, and has assured the implementation of accountability and transparency in governance.
The TDP leader further emphasized that by the year 2047, the Telugu people will attain the highest rank globally. He expressed his determination to ensure that Andhra Pradesh becomes the foremost state in the nation. Naidu firmly stated that no form of criminal activity or political conspiracies will be tolerated, and that the righteous will be protected while the wrongdoers will face appropriate consequences.
Accompanied by his family members, including his wife, son Nara Lokesh, daughter-in-law, and other relatives, the Chief Minister embarked on a special flight to Tirupati the previous evening. From there, he proceeded by road to Tirumala, where he spent the night. Early on Thursday morning, he offered prayers at the revered hill temple.
