A commotion arose in the vicinity when the lifeless body of a woman was discovered within a mosque in Agra. The woman’s attire was disheveled and her face bore the marks of a stone-inflicted injury. This particular mosque, known as ‘Sandali Masjid’, is situated a mere 100 meters away from the heavily guarded Taj Mahal Security Zone, prompting numerous inquiries. The police have apprehended several individuals as potential suspects in this case.
It is worth mentioning that the aforementioned mosque, located in the Nagla Pema area, is commonly referred to as ‘Sandali Masjid’. This mosque is in close proximity to the Taj Mahal’s high security zone. Presently, amidst suspicions of the woman’s murder, the police have detained several individuals for questioning.
According to the information received, it was a woodcutter who first stumbled upon the woman’s lifeless body within the confines of Sandali Masjid. The woodcutter promptly alerted the police about the discovery. Subsequently, the police swiftly arrived at the mosque, took custody of the woman’s body, and sent it for post-mortem examination.
During the investigation, the woman’s purse was recovered from the scene. Upon searching the purse, a photograph of Aamir Khan, a resident of the Billochpura area in Tajganj, was discovered. The police proceeded to visit Aamir Khan’s residence to inquire about how his photograph ended up in the woman’s purse. Aamir’s mother revealed that he had given the photograph to the woman.
Meanwhile, another team of police officers is meticulously reviewing the CCTV footage from the area. In one of the recordings, the woman can be seen accompanying a man at 8:00 am. Upon identifying this individual, the police have taken him into custody for interrogation. Based on the circumstances and evidence found at the scene, it appears that the deceased woman was subjected to a brutal sexual assault. It is suspected that a confrontation occurred between the woman and her assailant, resulting in the latter fatally striking her head with a heavy object, such as a stone.
The deceased woman was reportedly married in Kasganj district of Uttar Pradesh 20 years ago. After living with her husband for 2 years, she returned to her maternal home. During her time there, she gave birth to a daughter who is now 18 years old. The woman used to visit Sandali Masjid every morning to clean the mosque voluntarily. The mosque is usually quiet and only frequented by Namazis.
The 18-year-old daughter is deeply saddened by her mother’s passing and is currently residing with her grandmother. The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the woman’s death, considering various angles including the presence of scratch marks on her body, potential affairs, as well as superstition and black magic.
Authorities have formed a police team to look into the matter and are reviewing nearby CCTV footage. The DCP City mentioned that they received information about the woman’s body being found in the mosque, prompting an immediate response from the field unit team. The investigation is ongoing, and more details will be disclosed in due course.
