BJP Calls for 12-Hour Bengal Bandh Tomorrow Over Kolkata Rape and Murder !

The West Bengal bandh will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, for 12 hours due to rape and murder in Kolkata, according to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Tuesday’s violence at the Nabanna Abbiyan march was attributed to the TMC government led by Mamata Banerjee, according to state BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, who also requested her resignation due to the state’s protests. The band will play from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a full 12-hour set.

Last Friday, a teacher in Patna fell into the Ganges before reporting for duty. His current whereabouts remain a mystery. Following this, the educators on the job in the Diara districts demanded their own protection. Following that, Education Secretary Baidyanath Yadav sent a letter to each district manager (DM) granting them the power to accept instructions to close schools in accordance with local crisis management protocols.
Additionally, the government was requested to set up life jackets and boat facilities for teachers who cross the Ganga to get to school.

A large number of protesters, mostly young people, started the ‘Nabanna Abhijan’ on Tuesday afternoon from two different points in the city, calling for Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, to resign and for the perpetrators of the doctor’s rape and murder to be taken into custody. The demonstrators blamed the CM for not making sure that ladies were safe and secure, which they claim is what caused the RG Kar tragedy that caused outcry around the country. The demonstration, which was organized by the student platform “Chhatrasamaj” and the state government employees’ organization “Sangrami Joutha Mancha,” started at two different places: College Square in north Kolkata and Santragachi in Howrah.
