Bengaluru Murder Shocker: Odisha Man Cuts Body, Hides in Fridge After Killing Mahalakshmi !

According to authorities, new information in the Mahalakshmi murder case shows that on September 3, the man who is suspected of killing her and chopping her body into 59 pieces in Bengaluru bought a heavy-bladed knife from a nearby store, as reported by Deccan Herald.

According to the investigation, Mahalakshmi was attacked by Mukti Ranjan Ray at her Vyalikaval, Bengaluru, house, resulting in her death. The authorities claim that Ray bought a knife from a nearby store after killing her and used it to sever her body’s limbs.
On September 21, Mahalakshmi’s body was discovered shoved into the home’s refrigerator.

Ray’s Confession

A man was discovered hanging from a tree on Wednesday morning, according to Shekhar H. Tekkannavar, the deputy commissioner of police (Central), who made this announcement in Bengaluru on September 26.

The Odisha Police claim that a claimed suicide note found at the scene contained Muktiranjan Pratap Ray’s confession to the crime.

The authorities claim that Ray killed Mahalakshmi at her home after a furious quarrel. In order to ascertain whether any chemicals were utilized to clean up the blood, investigators are still awaiting the forensic report. Once the authorities located the knife’s plastic wrapping, they were able to link it to the store.

The shocking murder of Mahalakshmi stunned the community and brought to mind the Delhi case of Shraddha Walkar in 2022, in which the victim was also dismembered and her body was kept in a refrigerator.

Authorities talk about the security of women.

Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara addressed worries about women’s safety in Bengaluru by pointing out that a number of safety measures, such as the Nirbhaya program and the installation of CCTV cameras, were already in place.

“We need to put in more effort to ensure women’s safety, even though we are very careful and take many precautions,” he said, promising to implement more measures.
