The Honda Elevate midsize SUV in India has experienced a price increase of up to Rs. 58,000. Honda Cars India introduced the Elevate in September 2023, and it has been well-received by customers due to its competitive pricing and practical features. This is the first time that the Japanese automaker has raised prices for its midsize SUV range. It is common for automakers to increase prices at the beginning of a new calendar year, citing various reasons. The entry-level SV MT variant of the Honda Elevate now costs Rs. 11,57,900 (ex-showroom), reflecting a price hike of Rs. 58,000. The other trims, except for the base variant, have seen a uniform increase of Rs. 20,000. The V MT is now priced at Rs. 12,30,900, while the V CVT carries a price tag of Rs. 13,40,900.
Both the manual and CVT versions of the VX grade are available, with the former priced at Rs. 13,69,900 and the latter at Rs. 14,79,900. The range-topping ZX MT is now priced at Rs. 15,09,900, and the ZX CVT comes with a price tag of Rs. 16,19,900 (all prices, ex-showroom).
The Honda Elevate shares its platform with the fifth-generation City midsize sedan. It is equipped with a reliable 1.5L four-cylinder VTEC petrol engine, delivering a maximum power output of 121 PS and a peak torque of 145 Nm. The SUV comes with a standard six-speed manual transmission, with the option of a CVT.
In terms of competition, the Honda Elevate competes with models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor, VW Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq. It boasts an overall length of 4,312 mm, a width of 1,790 mm, and a height of 1,650 mm, with a wheelbase length of 2,650 mm.
The Honda Elevate offers the largest bootspace in its class, measuring 458 litres, and it also has the highest ground clearance at 220 mm. Its equipment list includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity options, six airbags, and a seven-inch TFT meter cluster.
