Swati Maliwal, an MP from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Rajya Sabha, has accused a member of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s personal staff of misbehaving with her. Despite approaching the Civil Lines police station, no formal complaint has been lodged yet.
According to reports, Maliwal made two calls to the Delhi Police around 10 am, alleging that she was assaulted by Kejriwal’s personal assistant, Bibhav Kumar. Following these calls, a team from the Civil Lines police station visited the chief minister’s residence.
An unnamed police official stated, “In the first call to the emergency response number 100, made at around 9.40 am, the caller did not disclose her name. However, in the second call at around 9.54 am, the caller identified herself as Swati Maliwal and claimed that Bibhav Kumar, the aide of the Delhi chief minister, was manhandling her.”
Later, Maliwal visited the police station but left without filing a formal complaint.
As of now, there has been no immediate response from either the chief minister’s residence or the Aam Aadmi Party, which governs Delhi.
