Bomb threats were made on two flights on Wednesday, one for IndiGo and one for Akasa Air. However, it turned out that the threats were false. In the last three days, there have been 12 instances of this kind.
An earlier IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Delhi was rerouted to Ahmedabad due to a fictitious bomb threat that was posted on social media. On Tuesday evening, the roughly 200-person aircraft, including crew, took off from Mumbai. On Wednesday, it was determined that the threat was a fake.
After receiving a bomb threat, an Akasa Air flight headed for Bengaluru had to make an emergency return to Delhi today. At 1:15 p.m., Flight QP1335, which was carrying 184 passengers, took off from Delhi and an emergency was reported.
