Adobe has recently unveiled Acrobat AI, an innovative AI-powered assistant designed to assist users in summarizing and interrogating documents. This feature is currently in early access, offered at a monthly rate of $4.99 until June 5th. Acrobat AI is seamlessly integrated into Adobe Reader and Acrobat, available across desktop, web, and mobile platforms. It offers a range of functionalities, including summarization, content search, and transcription support for various document formats such as PDFs, Word, and PowerPoint.
The AI assistant utilizes generative AI algorithms to recommend questions and answers based on document content, facilitating quick comprehension. Additionally, it employs a custom attribution engine to generate citations, ensuring transparency regarding the source of information provided. For enhanced navigation through lengthy documents, Acrobat AI presents clickable links, enabling users to swiftly locate relevant information.
Adobe emphasizes data privacy, assuring users that no content from their documents is stored on external servers or utilized for further training of the AI tool. Initially launched in beta earlier this year, Acrobat AI’s mobile version offers voice command functionality for document summarization and inquiries. It is also available as a browser extension for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
Acrobat AI is accessible to both free and paid Adobe users as an add-on subscription. Early access pricing starts at $4.99 per month, approximately equivalent to Rs 420, until June 5th. Additionally, Adobe is offering a limited-time free trial of the AI assistant through the Reader mobile app.
