The release date of the film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, was rescheduled due to requests from distributors and exhibitors. This change was officially announced by the production company and cast recently in order to prevent a clash with the movie Kill, produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga. Fortunately, fans can now rejoice as Ajay and director Neeraj Pandey have revealed the updated release date through their social media platforms.
Ajay announced the end of the wait on 2nd August with a heart emoji. Neeraj revealed the new release date for Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha by sharing the poster and stating, “Dear friends, The new date for our release is…” The caption on the picture indicated that the movie will be in cinemas on August 2, 2024. This film marks the first collaboration between the actor-director duo.
Ajay and Tabu have previously worked together in several films from the ’90s and have reunited for movies like Drishyam, Golmaal Again, De De Pyaar De, Drishyam 2, and Bholaa. The trailer of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha highlights crime and violence intertwined with an unusual romance that spans over 22 years. Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Manjrekar portray the younger versions of Ajay and Tabu, respectively.
Neeraj Pandey denounces de-ageing as a ‘misuse of technology’.
In a recent conversation with News 18, Neeraj was questioned about his choice to not de-age Ajay and Tabu using VFX, but instead cast different actors for the younger roles. The director expressed his disapproval of using technology in such a manner, deeming it ‘absurd.’ He further explained, “We were firm in our decision to have two separate sets of actors for the two age groups as it suits the storyline and enhances its essence. People undergo transformations after the age of 24, including in their physical attributes.”
Ajay’s upcoming projects
Ajay is set to appear in the upcoming film Singham 2 directed by Rohit Shetty, where he portrays the lead role. The star-studded cast includes Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, and Akshay Kumar in significant roles. Additionally, Ajay will be seen in Raj Kumar Gupta’s Raid 2 alongside Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor. He is also making a comeback to the romantic-comedy genre in Anshul Sharma’s De De Pyaar De 2, sharing the screen with Rakul Preet Singh and R Madhavan.
