Rahul Gandhi Declines Role of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha: Reasons Explained !

It has been reported that Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, is not interested in taking on the role of Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha at this time. According to sources from ABP News, Rahul Gandhi’s focus is currently on enhancing the party’s organizational structure.

Reports suggest that if Rahul Gandhi declines the position of Leader of Opposition, there are several other leaders in contention for the role. Among them are KC Venugopal, Gaurav Gogoi, Manish Tiwari, Shashi Tharoor, and Kumari Selja.

Kumari Selja is said to be trailing behind in the race for the position of Leader of Opposition. This is due to the fact that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, who hails from the Dalit community, is already fulfilling the duties of Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha. In a recent Congress Working Committee meeting in Delhi, a proposal was made to appoint Rahul Gandhi as the Leader of Opposition.

What did Congress say?

After the meeting of the Congress Working Committee, Gaurav Gogoi mentioned that every time the Congress party has had expectations from Rahul Gandhi, he has always met them. Today, the Congress party is urging him to speak up for the nation in the Parliament.

Congress leader KC Venugopal stated that the Congress Working Committee collectively approved a resolution urging Rahul Gandhi to take on the role of Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha. In response, he mentioned that he would consider it.

Several Congress leaders are urging for Rahul Gandhi to be appointed as the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha. It is believed by party members that only Rahul Gandhi possesses the ability to engage in direct discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Congress party would greatly benefit from this development.
