New Delhi: Investigations have uncovered disturbing information regarding the murder of a Bangladesh MP in Kolkata. The MP, Anwarul Azim Anar, was brutally killed, dismembered, and his remains were disposed of in multiple plastic packets throughout the city. Anar had been missing since May 14, just two days after his arrival in Kolkata.
The West Bengal CID (Criminal Investigation Department) has achieved a significant breakthrough in the case with the apprehension of Jihad Hawladar, an illegal immigrant from Bangladesh residing in Mumbai. According to CID sources, Hawladar has confessed to his involvement in the murder and dismemberment of the Bangladesh MP’s body, which took place in an apartment in New Town, Kolkata.
The shocking revelations have shed light on the meticulous planning and execution of this heinous crime. Hawladar has reportedly revealed that the mastermind behind the operation was Akhtaruzzaman, a US citizen of Bangladeshi descent. Acting on Akhtaruzzaman’s instructions, Hawladar, along with four other Bangladeshi nationals, suffocated and killed the MP in the New Town apartment.
On Wednesday, the Bangladesh Home Minister, Asaduzzaman Khan, announced that Anwarul Azim Anar had been discovered murdered and that three individuals had been apprehended. The Bengal CID uncovered bloodstains within the New Town apartment and also found multiple plastic bags, which they suspect were utilized to discard the body parts. According to police, circumstantial evidence suggests that the MP was initially strangled and then dismembered into various pieces.
The details are undeniably disturbing. Hawladar purportedly informed authorities that following Anar’s murder, the group proceeded to skin the body, remove all flesh, and mince it to eliminate any chance of identification. The remains were subsequently placed into plastic bags, with the bones being cut into small fragments. The suspect allegedly disclosed that these parcels were transported and disposed of throughout Kolkata. The police are currently working to gather additional information regarding the whereabouts of the murdered Bangladeshi politician’s body parts.
