“Thalaivar 171: Unveiling the Majestic Aura of Rajinikanth in Coolie Teaser”

New Delhi: Lokesh Kanagaraj recently unveiled the teaser for Rajinikanth’s highly anticipated film Thalaivar 171. In addition to showcasing glimpses of the film, he also disclosed the official title, which is now Coolie. The teaser pays tribute to Rajinikanth’s memorable portrayals as a coolie in movies such as Uzhaipaali (1993), Mannan (1992), and Mullum Malarum (1978). Fans were quick to applaud Lokesh Kanagaraj’s ability to incorporate references to the superstar’s illustrious career. Furthermore, the teaser holds an intriguing surprise: Rajinikanth can be heard singing Siva Sambo from Ninaithale Inikkum (1979), a song that encapsulates a hedonistic lifestyle reminiscent of his character in the film.

Lokesh Kanagaraj recently shared the first-look poster of Coolie, featuring Rajinikanth in a denim shirt. The grayscale image shows Rajinikanth bound by a chain of wristwatches, with a prominent clock in the background. The presence of watches has led to speculation about a possible time-travel storyline in the movie. Fans have also theorized about a potential link to Suriya’s Rolex character. Lokesh Kanagaraj posted the poster on X (formerly Twitter) and revealed that the film’s title will be disclosed on April 22 with the hashtag “#Thalaivar171TitleReveal.”

Anirudh Ravichander is set to team up with Rajinikanth for the project, with the rest of the cast yet to be announced. Anbu-Arivu, the renowned action choreographers, are also involved in the film. Sun Pictures is the production company behind this project.

In the meantime, Rajinikanth is currently involved in his collaboration with TJ Gnanavel on a project called Vettaiyan, scheduled to be released later this year.
