“The Unwavering Commitment: AAP’s Pledge for Collaboration with Congress Despite Arvind Kejriwal’s Potential Arrest”

Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj emphasized that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would face arrest within the week. Bhardwaj also stated that the alliance between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress for the upcoming Lok Sabha election was progressing smoothly, and they had no fear of investigation agencies.

During a press conference, Bhardwaj revealed that the AAP had received information regarding Kejriwal’s imminent arrest if the party formed a multi-state alliance with the Congress for the Lok Sabha polls. He stated, “We were informed that as soon as the AAP forms a multi-state alliance with the Congress, Arvind Kejriwal will be arrested. A notice for his arrest will be served either by this evening or tomorrow.”

Bhardwaj took a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming that they were apprehensive about the AAP and Congress joining forces. He said, “Wherever the AAP and Congress come together, the BJP will face difficulties… Those who win over 400 seats do not subject a former governor to raids. It is the one who fears defeat that makes such decisions,” referring to the recent CBI searches at the premises of former Jammu and Kashmir governor Satya Pal Malik in connection with alleged corruption.

AAP MP and party general secretary Sandeep Pathak echoed Bhardwaj’s sentiments, stating that the BJP was displeased with the AAP and Congress alliance. Pathak alleged that the BJP had altered its political strategy and was attempting to arrest Arvind Kejriwal through the CBI, as the Enforcement Directorate’s previous illegal notice had failed. He warned of a political upheaval if Kejriwal was indeed arrested.

These statements were made amidst the backdrop of the Enforcement Directorate issuing a seventh summons to Arvind Kejriwal, summoning him for questioning on the now-revoked excise policy on February 26.

The progress has been made as talks regarding seat allocation between the AAP and Congress are nearing completion. According to sources cited by India Today, Congress is expected to secure three out of the seven seats in Delhi for the upcoming Lok Sabha election. The AAP, currently holding power in Delhi, is expected to vie for the remaining four seats.
