In Bihar’s Sasaram, Tejashwi Yadav teamed up with Rahul Gandhi for the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’

Tejashwi Yadav, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, accompanied Rahul Gandhi on his ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ in Sasaram, Bihar. As the yatra progressed through Sasaram, Yadav was seen driving Rahul Gandhi and other leaders in the lead jeep. In his post on x, the RJD leader acknowledged his alliance with Gandhi. Yadav will also join Rahul Gandhi on the stage during a public meeting in Kaimur at Dhaneychha in the Durgawati block of Kaimur. This will mark the first time that the RJD leader and Gandhi will share the stage in Bihar since Chief Minister Nitish Kumar severed ties with the INDIA bloc.

According to Senior Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Jairam Ramesh, today is the 34th day of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, and Rahul Gandhi will engage in conversations with farmer leaders in Rohtas. At around 2:30 pm, Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi will address a gathering in Kaimur, and later at around 5 pm, the yatra will enter Uttar Pradesh.

Later in the day, at 4 pm, the Yatra will proceed to Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh. It will remain in Uttar Pradesh until the evening of February 25, with a two-day break on February 22 and 23.

On Thursday, earlier in the day, the Yatra arrived in Aurangabad, Bihar. During this visit, Gandhi expressed his admiration for the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down electoral bonds. He also pledged to conduct a financial survey across the country if his party comes to power in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The Nyay Yatra reached Bihar after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who was previously part of the opposition coalition called Mahagathbandhan, decided to join hands with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.

Joining her brother Rahul Gandhi, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will also participate in the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. She will join the yatra in Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh, after it enters the state from Bihar on Friday evening.

Covering a distance of 6,700 km and passing through 15 states, the East-West Manipur-Mumbai Yatra seeks to bring attention to the concept of “nyay” (justice) by interacting with the general public throughout its journey.
