Sachchidanand/ Patna. The entire nation is eagerly anticipating the grand event on 22nd January, where Lord Shri Ram will grace the temple with his divine presence alongside his family. The enthusiasm surrounding this occasion is truly remarkable, with devotees from all corners of the country diligently preparing to make their way to Ayodhya for the inauguration of the Ram temple. It is estimated that hundreds of thousands of people will gather in Ayodhya on this momentous day. In order to ensure that the devotees of Lord Shri Ram do not encounter any difficulties with regards to food, Bajrangbali himself has taken it upon himself to oversee their nourishment.
Indeed, the renowned Mahavir Temple in Patna, which is celebrated throughout the country, will provide complimentary meals in the traditional Bihari style to those who journey to Ayodhya for the Pran Pratistha ceremony. Acharya Kishore Kunal, the Secretary of the Mahavir Temple Trust, has announced that in light of the large number of devotees expected to arrive in Ayodhya from all corners of the nation for the inauguration ceremony, the Ram Rasoi (kitchen) will operate continuously from 9 am to 9 pm, starting from January 15th until February 15th.
Food will be available twice a day:
Ram Rasoi, which currently only serves food once a day, is making changes to its arrangement. This adjustment coincides with the commencement of the construction of the Ram temple. Previously, Mahavir Temple initiated Ram Rasoi to provide free meals to devotees of Ram who visit Ayodhya. Initially, food was only served in the morning, following the Bihari style of sitting. However, with the upcoming inauguration of the temple, there will be an increase in people visiting the construction site even at night.
Considering this, Mahavir Temple has made the decision to serve dinner at Ram Rasoi starting from January 15, 2024. Free meals will now be available from 11 am to 3:30 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm. Additionally, in anticipation of the large crowd expected for the inauguration of the Ram temple, Ram Rasoi will operate continuously from January 15 to February 15.

The Amava temple of Ayodhya offers a wide range of food options. ‘Ram Rasoi’ is managed by the Mahavir Temple Trust of Patna. For the past four years, around 3-4 thousand individuals have been enjoying meals at this establishment on a daily basis. Ram Rasoi serves a variety of dishes, including two types of vegetables, kachori, chutney, sheared rice, arhar dal, kofta, aloo dum sabzi, desi ghee, tilodi, and papad.
In addition, individuals from South India are provided with sambar instead of dal. A total of 10 delectable dishes of excellent quality are served to the devotees. Visitors to Ayodhya have the opportunity to relish pure food without any charges. What sets this experience apart is the loving manner in which the food is served, following the Bihari style.
