Dhanush is currently involved in the production of the PAN Indian action drama “Captain Miller,” which is being directed by Arun Matheswaran. Originally planned for release this month, the film’s release has been rescheduled to Pongal 2024 due to undisclosed reasons. The team has officially confirmed that the film will hit theaters on January 12, 2024.
This announcement indicates that the film will also be part of the Sankranthi race in Telugu. Alongside four other films competing for Pongal, the Tamil dubbed version of “Captain Miller” will also test its luck at the box office.
What makes this release even more intriguing is the simultaneous release of Mahesh Babu’s “Guntur Kaaram” and Prashanth Varma’s “HanuMan” on the same date. There are differing opinions on whether HanuMan should either advance or postpone its release by a day.
On the other hand, Dhanush, with his dedicated fanbase, enjoys a significant following in Telugu-speaking regions as well. The clash at the box office raises questions about the potential audience turnout for “Captain Miller.”
