The BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha has announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has agreed to inaugurate a Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, in February of the upcoming year. During a meeting at the Prime Minister’s residence in New Delhi, representatives of the BAPS organization, led by Swami Ishwarcharandas and Swami Brahmaviharidas, presented the invitation for the inauguration on February 14. This information was shared through a press statement issued by the Swaminarayan Sanstha.
The BAPS Sanstha expressed their delight as Prime Minister Modi graciously accepted the invitation to inaugurate the temple in the Arab country. They emphasized his enthusiastic support for the historic and iconic temple. During their extensive meeting, the BAPS delegation discussed the temple’s significance for global harmony and Prime Minister Modi’s vision for India’s spiritual leadership on the global stage.
The delegation also prayed for the Prime Minister’s health and acknowledged his exceptional achievements in strengthening relationships with the UAE and other Middle Eastern countries. Additionally, Prime Minister Modi shared his personal vision for greater spiritual growth and India’s emergence as a global leader. The BAPS Sanstha temple, designed to resemble a blossoming lotus flower, will soon become the largest Hindu temple in the United Arab Emirates.
