Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Bihar to participate in the Eastern Regional Council meeting.

Preparations are underway for the upcoming Eastern Regional Council meeting, scheduled to take place on December 10th in Patna, the capital city of Bihar. This significant gathering will be attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, as well as a delegation consisting of Chief Ministers, Chief Secretaries, and officials from Bihar, Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha. It is worth noting that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will preside over the meeting of the Eastern Regional Council.

In terms of the preparations for this event, a review meeting was held on Thursday by S Siddharth, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department. This meeting involved the participation of Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and Secretaries from various departments, including Transport, Police, and General Administration, at the Chief Secretariat.

During the meeting, there will be discussions on matters pertaining to mutual coordination, particularly in relation to border security. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair the meeting, and it will be attended by the Chief Secretary of Bihar, along with other senior officials and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Furthermore, the meeting will also see the participation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee from Bengal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik from Odisha, and Chief Minister Hemant Soren from Jharkhand. Additionally, reports suggest that the Jharkhand Finance Minister will also be present at this important gathering.

Several crucial issues will be addressed during the meeting. According to reliable sources, discussions will encompass topics such as international border security, terrorism, and other matters concerning the eastern states. Moreover, there will be a focus on fostering mutual coordination and cooperation to promote the development of the eastern states. It is possible that the pension dispute between Bihar and Jharkhand will also be deliberated upon during the meeting.
