4 Hizbul Terrorists Killed in Kulgam Encounter: Hidden Bunker Discovered Behind Cupboard !

The killing of four out of the six terrorists in twin encounters in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district revealed that they were residing in a hidden bunker inside a cupboard in Chinigam Frisal area. Suspicions of local residents aiding in sheltering them are under investigation, as per officials.

A video circulating on social media purportedly shows the hideout, with two men being surrounded by security personnel as they dismantle a cupboard inside a house to reveal the concealed bunker. All the terrorists eliminated by security forces were reportedly associated with the Hizbul Mujahideen, including one who held a leadership position within the Pakistan-linked militant group.

During the operations, two army soldiers, including an elite para commando, lost their lives in the twin encounters that took place in Kulgam villages starting from July 6. The bodies of two terrorists were found at the Modergam site, while four were discovered at the Chinigam site on Sunday, according to officials.

Jammu and Kashmir director general of police RR Swain expressed that neutralizing such a significant number of terrorists is a notable accomplishment. He emphasized that these achievements are crucial in enhancing the security situation and sending a strong message. Swain also highlighted that the success of these operations signifies progress in the fight against terrorism in the region, indicating that the security measures and community involvement are yielding valuable human intelligence that will lead to the ultimate eradication of terror threats.
